Who We Are

Empowering Learners, Communicators, and Citizens

At Everglade School, our vision is simple yet profound: our pupils become capable learners, effective communicators and responsible citizens. We are a vibrant community where tradition meets innovation, and where every child is supported to reach their full potential.

Our Core Business

We believe that a strong foundation in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics is the right of every child. We consider these "core business" and are dedicated to achieving excellence in these areas. By focusing on building strong foundations in these subjects, we ensure our students are equipped with the essential tools they need to succeed in their future schooling and beyond.

Our Values & Culture

Our school culture is built on a foundation of integrity, respect, and collaboration. We strive to create a positive environment by:
- Nurturing authentic relationships between staff, students, and whānau.
- Fostering leadership and sharing in the celebration of every student's success.
- Encouraging curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

A Multicultural Community

Everglade is proud of its diverse, multicultural student body. We don't just acknowledge this diversity; we celebrate it. We are committed to being culturally responsible and demonstrating manaakitanga (care and respect) for all. We prepare our students to be responsible citizens who connect with the wider community and act as kaitiaki (caretakers) of our environment.

Our Whakatauki

Mā te kimi ka kite

Mā te kite ka mōhio

Mā te mōhio ka mārama
